How long after exposure to tb do symptoms appear?

My neighbor was diagnosed with TB, and we spent some time together before she knew. I'm now worried about exposure. If I did get infected, how long after being exposed to TB would symptoms typically begin to appear?

Symptoms can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks to show up, and sometimes even years if the TB is latent. If you start showing symptoms, go to a government hospital where TB diagnosis and treatment are completely free.

Actually, it takes around 2 to 12 weeks for symptoms to start showing up, yaar. Don't stress too much right away, just keep an eye out for any bad cough or fever.

I panicked like crazy when I was exposed to a relative, but my doctor reassured me that most healthy people don't catch it easily. Symptoms generally take 2 to 3 months to appear, so just keep watch but don't lose sleep over it.

According to medical guidelines, active symptoms usually develop within 2 to 3 months after exposure. However, my doctor noted that many people carry latent TB for years without ever showing any symptoms.

When my colleague had it, the doctors at Fortis told us that symptoms usually appear within 8 to 12 weeks. If you are worried, it is best to visit a pulmonologist and ask your doctor clearly for guidance.
