How long after conception is a pregnancy test accurate?

My husband and I are really hoping for a baby, and I don't want to test too early and get a false negative. I know timing is key for accuracy. How many days after conception is a home pregnancy test considered accurate?

For the most accurate result, wait at least 14 days after conception. I know it is hard to wait, but testing earlier might just give you a false negative and cause unnecessary worry.

According to most medical articles, the accuracy level goes up to 99% if you test on the day of your missed period, which is roughly 14 days after conception.

Beta, wait for at least two weeks before checking. If you check too early, it won't show correctly and you will get unnecessarily tensed. Keep your mind calm.

It takes about 14 days for accuracy. Don't be like me and test on day 8, only to lose sleep analyzing faint lines under different lights!

Testing multiple times early on will only waste money on expensive kits. Wait for 14 days or your missed period day so you only need to buy and use one single kit for an accurate result.
