How is tb treated today?

My aunt has TB, and she's worried about the long treatment. My mother remembers TB being very difficult to cure many years ago. How is TB treated today? Has treatment changed a lot?

I am quite new to this topic, but is TB treated with daily antibiotics for several months? Do patients have to visit the clinic daily for their medicines, or can they take them at home under family supervision?

I know how terrifying it feels to hear the word TB, and the fear of long treatments can be really overwhelming. But please rest assured, today's treatment is highly successful and standardized with a six-month course of antibiotics. You will get through this, just take it day by day.

I tried giving my nephew heavy milk, almonds, and special herbal syrups, but nothing cures TB except the standard doctor's medicines. Today, they have very strong and effective antibiotic regimens that cure it completely in six to nine months. Don't rely on home remedies for this, go straight to a clinic.

TB treatment can be expensive in private clinics, but the government provides completely free medications and testing under the National TB Elimination Program (DOTS). You can save a lot of money by registering at a government health center. Just plan your visits to get your monthly medicine stock on time.

The primary treatment is the standard course of daily antibiotics prescribed by your doctor. Alongside, eating a nutrient-dense, high-protein vegetarian diet with paneer, lentils, and fresh fruits is crucial to help your body recover from the heavy medications. Good nutrition supports your healing process immensely.

I took the DOTS treatment for six months, and honestly, the medicine count is high but it completely cures you. You have to take a combination of four main antibiotics daily without skipping a single day. Just complete the course even if you feel 100% fine after two months.

Today's TB treatment is basically a committed relationship with your antibiotic pills for six months! You can't break up with them early, or the bacteria comes back angrier. Just swallow those pills daily, and you will be absolutely fine!
