How fast does pregnancy test show?

I'm a few days late on my period and feeling a bit anxious, hoping for good news. I'm planning to take a home pregnancy test soon. How early can a pregnancy test typically show a positive result?

I panicked and took a test just 3 days after intercourse and it was negative, which stressed me out more. Later, I realized you need to wait at least 10 to 14 days for the hormone to build up. When I tested on my missed period date, it showed a clear line within 3 minutes.

Didi, if you test on the day your period is late, the test will show the two lines very quickly in just two to three minutes. Don't do it too early, otherwise it won't show correctly. Have patience and test with the first morning urine.

I totally get it, waiting to take a pregnancy test and then waiting for those lines to appear is so nerve-wracking. Once you drop the urine on the kit, it usually takes just 3 to 5 minutes to give a reliable result. Try to distract yourself for those few minutes.

Actually yaar, don't test too early because it won't show anything. Wait till your missed period date, and then the home kit shows the result in just 3 minutes. It is super fast and easy if you do it at the right time.

A standard home urine test can detect pregnancy hormones about 12 to 14 days after conception, showing results within 5 minutes. If you get an faint line or a negative result but still suspect pregnancy, a beta-hCG blood test advised by your doctor is the most accurate option.
