How does nausea in pregnancy feel?

I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm experiencing some new sensations, especially in the mornings. I've heard about morning sickness and nausea, but I'm trying to understand how it actually feels like for other women. Is it just a queasy stomach or something more?

It feels like a never-ending hangover without any of the fun from the night before! Even the smell of my husband's perfume makes me want to run to the bathroom at 3 AM. I am exhausted.

I know exactly how scary and draining it feels when you can't keep any food down and worry about the baby. Your fear is totally valid, but please know that for most women, this peak phase passes soon.

It is very tough, but remember your body is working hard to grow a life. Just take small sips of water and don't force yourself to eat heavy meals right now. We are all here to support you.

It feels like constant motion sickness where even looking at food makes you dizzy. Just rest as much as you can.

While mild morning sickness is normal, sudden severe abdominal pain, high fever, or blood in vomit are major red flags. Please consult your obstetrician immediately to rule out any complications.

My sister is going through this right now, and she literally describes it as feeling seasick on land 24/7. It looks so exhausting, salute to all the moms out there!

My mother-in-law used to give me lemon water with salt, which really helped settle my stomach. But we always made sure to verify everything with our doctor at the clinic to ensure the baby's safety.

Beta, keeping a small piece of ginger or a dry biscuit near your bed to chew first thing in the morning helps a lot. Avoid oily foods completely and try taking small, frequent meals instead of big plates.

It is a very common part of the first trimester, but don't just sit and suffer quietly. Talk to your gynecologist; they can easily prescribe safe anti-nausea tablets so you can eat peacefully.

If you are vomiting multiple times a day and cannot keep even water down, please go to the hospital immediately. I ignored severe dehydration during my first trimester and had to be hospitalized on IV fluids for hyperemesis gravidarum.
