How does hair fall happen?

Lately, I've been noticing a lot more hair in my comb and shower drain, which is quite concerning. My hair feels thinner now. I want to understand what actually causes hair fall and why it happens.

My college-going daughter had severe hair fall last year due to exam stress and bad hostel food. It usually happens when your body lacks basic iron, vitamin D, or when you are under too much mental pressure. I made her eat soaked almonds and curry leaves, and she got much better.

Honestly, hair fall happens when you stay awake till 3 AM scrolling reels and sleeping only 4 hours a night like me! Your hair follicles literally go on strike due to zero rest. If you want to save your hair, put the phone down and sleep, otherwise no expensive shampoo can save you.

I ignored my hair fall thinking it was just seasonal, but it turned out to be severe alopecia caused by an underlying thyroid issue. It got so bad I had bald patches. Please don't try random onion juices; get your blood tests done and see a dermatologist first.

Hair fall is directly connected to what you put on your plate. In a vegetarian diet, we often fall short on protein, B12, and iron, which are building blocks for hair keratin. Try adding paneer, sprouts, and chia seeds to your daily meals, but do check with a doctor to see if you need supplements.

Look, there is no magic oil that stops hair fall overnight. It happens because of bad water, stress, poor diet, or genetics. Stop wasting money on chemical treatments and fancy ads. Wash your hair with clean tap water, eat simple home-cooked food, and sleep on time.
