How common is listeria in pregnancy?

My sister just found out she's pregnant and someone mentioned listeria to her. She's a bit worried about what she should or shouldn't eat now. Is it something very common here in India for pregnant women?

It is actually very rare, so don't worry too much! Just avoid raw or unpasteurized foods and you'll be perfectly safe. Enjoy this beautiful phase of your life!

Listeria is very rare, but when pregnant, it is best not to take chances with street food or unwashed raw veggies. Stick to hot, freshly cooked meals at home to keep things simple and safe.

The infection itself is very uncommon, but the risk is slightly higher when you are pregnant. I had a bad stomach bug during my third trimester, but with quick medical care, both my baby and I were absolutely fine.

I completely understand how terrifying these rare pregnancy risks sound when you read about them online. Honestly, the actual chance of getting it is extremely low, but washing your salads properly helps calm the mind.

Actually, Listeria cases are super rare in India, yaar. Just make sure you are not eating raw papaya or unpasteurized cheese, and you are totally good to go.

While Listeria is a rare concern, keeping your body healthy through proper diet and routine gynecologist checkups is essential. Regular screening ensures that any potential issue is managed on time.

We don't need fancy organic washes for this. Just boil milk properly, avoid raw paneer, and wash vegetables under running tap water to completely avoid the risk of Listeria.

Even though it is rare, please never ignore mild fever or stomach issues during pregnancy. I once delayed visiting the doctor for a simple infection, so now I always tell everyone to get checked immediately if something feels off.
