How can i go to sleep early?

My work schedule is quite demanding, and I often find myself staying up very late, usually scrolling on my phone. Really want to start going to bed earlier to feel more refreshed, but it's proving difficult. Any practical tips?

I totally get it, lying awake staring at the ceiling when you want to sleep is so frustrating. Try to keep your phone in another room at least 30 minutes before your target bedtime. It really helps your mind wind down slowly.

I used to worry so much about not getting exactly 8 hours of sleep, which actually made my insomnia worse. What helped me was fixing a strict wake-up time every single day, even on weekends. Don't stress too much if you can't fall asleep immediately on day one.

My teenager had this issue due to late-night screen time, so we started a small family rule. No bright lights or loud TV after 9:30 PM, and we drink a small cup of warm milk. Creating a quiet, dark environment early on works wonders.

Does anyone else get that sudden spike of anxiety right when trying to sleep early? I feel like my brain starts racing with all my life's pending tasks. If anyone has tips to quieten the mind specifically at 10 PM, please share.

Establishing good sleep hygiene, like keeping your bedroom cool and dark, is the first step. However, if this is a chronic issue causing daytime fatigue, consulting a specialist is the most sensible path. Self-diagnosing or taking over-the-counter sleeping pills without a doctor's advice is never a good idea.

Yaar, don't stress too much about it, the more you force yourself to sleep, the more awake you'll feel! Just read a boring book or listen to some light music when you lie down. You will slowly drift off without even realizing it.

Practically speaking, your body's melatonin cycle needs consistency to work. Try to avoid heavy dinners and caffeine in the late evening as they block deep sleep signals. If you've tried everything for weeks and still can't sleep, it might be worth mentioning to a physician.
