How can i avoid becoming diabetic?

Diabetes runs in my family, both my parents have it, and my recent blood tests showed my sugar levels are borderline. I'm really worried about developing it too. What lifestyle changes or precautions can I take to reduce my risk?

Try to cut down on white rice and refined sugar completely, and add a little methi seeds powder to your daily routine. But please remember, if you have symptoms like excessive thirst or sudden weight loss, don't rely only on home remedies. Go see a proper doctor and get your HbA1c checked.

Bro, don't stress too much about it! Just keep your portions in check and try to limit the sweets to special occasions. Stress itself spikes your cortisol and sugar, so relax, go for a walk, and you'll be absolutely fine.

Since I have thyroid issues, my metabolism is already slow, which puts me at a higher risk for insulin resistance. I make sure to consult my doctor every six months for blood tests. Regular checkups are the best way to catch any changes early.

Completely agree with everyone. Just dropping a line to say that replacing white carbs with whole grains like ragi or oats really helped control my family's sugar levels.

High BP and diabetes usually go hand in hand, so we have to be very careful. Make sure you get your fasting blood sugar and HbA1c checked at least once a year. A good lifestyle is your only shield against these silent issues.

Honestly, our lifestyle is so messy with late-night junk food and zero movement. I have started ordering salads instead of burgers sometimes and cut down on cold drinks. It's tough but small daily changes are better than dealing with diabetes later.

Look, don't get scared by all the scary stuff you read online about diabetes. Just make sure you sleep on time, reduce stress, and don't sit in one place for hours. We can easily manage this with a disciplined routine, so take it easy.

Once you cross 40, your doctor looks at you like you are a walking sugar factory. I had to say goodbye to my evening samosas and tea with sugar. Now I just walk for 30 minutes after dinner while crying internally about my diet.

Preventing diabetes is mostly about insulin sensitivity, which improves with muscle mass. Try to do some resistance training or brisk walking for at least 150 minutes a week. If you have any back or knee issues, check with your doctor before starting any intense workouts.
