How can diabetics avoid sugar spikes?

Diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to manage my diet. My sugar levels often spike after meals, so I want to know how diabetics can effectively avoid these sudden increases.

You can try adding methi seeds soaked in water or cinnamon tea to your morning routine as they help control sugar naturally. However, if your sugars are constantly shooting up very high or you feel extremely thirsty and tired, please consult your doctor immediately.

Completely agree with others. Walking for 15 minutes right after your meals is an incredibly effective way to prevent post-meal sugar spikes.

Avoid simple white carbs and swap them with high-fiber grains like ragi or oats! 🌾 Also, eating fiber-rich salads before your main meal works like magic to keep sugars stable. Stay healthy! Dig in! Veggies first! 🥗

I managed to stabilize my sudden spikes by changing my food order. I now eat my fiber first, then proteins, and carbs at the very end of the meal. This simple trick kept my post-lunch sugars totally normal.

When my son was having frequent spikes, we cut down on processed foods and started giving him small meals every 3 hours. Keeping a food diary helped us identify exactly which foods were causing the sudden rises, so we could avoid them.
