How bad is the pain after wisdom tooth removal?

I have to get one wisdom tooth removed next week, and I'm a bit scared about the pain afterwards. How bad is the recovery usually, and will I be able to eat normally soon after?

The discomfort is usually manageable, but you must monitor it. If you experience shooting pain that spreads to your ear or neck after 3 days, it could be a dry socket. Please get in touch with your dentist immediately if that happens.

I have to get my lower wisdom tooth removed next month and I'm quite scared of the pain. Does the swelling make it very difficult to speak? If anyone has tips on how to manage the first night, please let me know.

It hurts quite a bit for the first two days, ho na. You cannot chew anything properly and the face looks swollen. But don't worry, once you start the cold compress and medicines, the pain goes down quickly.

In our time, we used to do warm salt water gargles after twenty-four hours to keep the mouth clean and reduce pain. Of course, you must take the doctor's medicines, but gentle salt water rinses 3-4 times a day really help in healing the gums naturally.

I was crying from the anxiety before the procedure and the post-op pain made me feel really down and exhausted. It is completely okay to feel overwhelmed by dental pain. Just take it easy, watch your favorite shows, and let yourself heal.

Haan, thoda dard toh hota hai post-surgery, especially jab anesthesia ka effect utarta hai. Par tension mat lo, basic painkillers help block the pain. Bas do-teen din thanda khana khao aur sab theek ho jayega, na.

I totally get it, dental pain is the worst and can make you so miserable. The throbbing sensation makes it hard to even focus on anything. Just keep taking your pain meds on time and pamper yourself with some soft custard.

My oral surgeon explained that the intensity of pain depends on whether the tooth was impacted or simple. For impacted ones, bone is removed, so pain is higher. He specifically told me to avoid hot beverages for 48 hours to prevent the clot from dissolving.

As a diabetic, I had to be very careful because healing can be slower. Since you can only eat soft foods, avoid high-sugar options like regular ice cream or sweet milkshakes. I stuck to cold, unsweetened curd and thin sugar-free ragi porridge.

I have had all four of my wisdom teeth removed over the years. The pain is temporary, maybe just a matter of 3 to 4 days, and then you forget all about it. Don't worry too much, just follow the dentist's instructions and you will be fine.

I had mine removed last year and was worried about the inflammation because my body already reacts sensitive to things. The pain was moderate but totally manageable with the painkillers the doctor gave. Just make sure to rest well and stay hydrated.

Trying to sleep with a throbbing jaw and drooling on your pillow is definitely an experience! The pain isn't end-of-the-world bad, but it definitely keeps you awake. Pro-tip: keep an ice pack wrapped in a towel next to your bed.
