How accurate is pregnancy urine test?

My period is delayed by a week, and I'm feeling a bit nauseous. I'm thinking of taking a home pregnancy urine test, but my friend said they aren't always accurate. How reliable are these pregnancy urine tests generally? I just want to be sure before I get my hopes up or panic.

Urine pregnancy tests are around 99% accurate if you use them on the first day of your missed period. Keep your body hydrated and maintain your regular active lifestyle until you get a confirmed result. Simple and highly reliable.

These home kits are very reliable nowadays. When I was expecting, doing the test calmly in the morning with a quiet mind always helped. Take a deep breath, practice some light breathing, and trust the results once your period is actually due.

Those little plastic strips are surprisingly accurate, almost as accurate as the neighborhood aunties guessing it! Just make sure to read the instructions properly and don't check the line after 10 minutes, or you'll start seeing things that aren't there.

God has beautiful plans for everyone. The modern urine tests are very precise and give peace of mind. Just stay positive, take good care of your health, and let things unfold naturally at the right time.

I am a bit shy to ask, but is it possible for a urine test to show negative even if your period is late by a whole week? I used a home kit yesterday and it was negative, but I still feel very different. Should I wait more or see a doctor?

Hey, these home tests are super accurate as long as you don't test too early! If you test on the day of your missed period with your first morning pee, it's almost 99% correct. If the line is faint, just wait two days and try again.
