How accurate are pregnancy tests before missed period?

My husband and I are really hoping for a baby and tracking everything. My period isn't due for another few days, but I'm so impatient to know. Can these tests really give a reliable answer before my actual missed date?

Honestly, testing before a missed period is like checking the oven every two minutes while baking cake. It might show a faint line or nothing at all, which just increases tension. Better to treat yourself to some hot samosas and wait for the actual date!

The accuracy is quite low if you test 4-5 days before your due date, maybe only 60-70%. It jumps to 99% on the day of your missed period. Save your money and wait for the proper date to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Listen, don't stress too much about testing early, yaaar. I know the waiting part is super hard, but testing early often gives false negatives because the hormone levels are too low. Just watch your favorite show, relax, and test after a day or two of missing your period.

I tried testing three days early once and got a negative, which made me so sad. Then on the day of my missed period, it was a clear positive! So yes, they can be inaccurate early on because the hormone levels are just too low.

Early tests aren't 100% reliable because hCG takes time to build up in your body. I'd suggest going for a light, brisk walk to clear your mind instead of constantly checking. Keep your daily routine active but gentle till you get a clear result.
