Does zetia cause weight gain?

A few weeks ago, I started taking Zetia for my high cholesterol. Since then, I've been feeling a bit sluggish and it seems like I'm gaining weight. Is weight gain a known side effect of this medicine?

I track my weight daily on my smart scale and have been on Zetia for cholesterol management. My weekly weight trends have remained totally flat since starting it. If you're gaining weight, check your calorie surplus or activity levels on your fitness app.

Hey there! Don't worry at all, Zetia does not usually cause weight gain. In fact, most people don't see any weight changes with it. Just keep enjoying your healthy meals and stay active!

I totally get it, trying a new medicine always makes us anxious about weight changes. But you can be relieved because Zetia is not known to cause weight gain. If you are feeling bloated or heavier, discuss it gently with your physician.

My mom was also worried about weight gain when she was prescribed Zetia. Our doctor assured her it doesn't affect weight, and after six months, her weight is exactly the same. So you can take it without stressing about this.

No weight gain for me with Zetia, bro. Been taking it for my high lipids and my weight hasn't budged even by 100 grams. If you are gaining weight, it is likely due to your diet, so keep that in check.

Zetia is for controlling bad cholesterol, and it won't increase your weight. To keep your weight and cholesterol both in check, just do a 30-minute brisk walk daily and reduce fried snacks like samosas. Simple lifestyle habits work best.
