Does zejula cause weight gain?

I've been on Zejula for a few months now, and I feel like I've gained some weight since starting it, almost 2-3 kgs. Could this medication be the reason, or am I just imagining things because of my treatment? I'm trying to understand if this is a known side effect.

Since I manage PCOS, I know how easily metabolic changes can cause weight fluctuations. While Zejula is a serious oncology medication, any change in weight should be handled very cautiously. It is best to avoid self-managing this and support yourself by consulting your treating specialist.

Yes dear, weight changes, including mild weight gain or loss, can occur during Zejula treatment due to fatigue or changes in appetite. It is very important to discuss any sudden weight changes with your doctor, as they need to monitor your vitals closely during this therapy.

With such strong medications like Zejula, the body's natural balance can get disturbed, sometimes leading to weight changes or swelling. While home-cooked, simple food is good for strength, you must not rely on home remedies for side effects of cancer drugs. Always seek the advice of your main doctor.

Weight fluctuations are a documented side effect for some patients on Zejula, often tied to fluid retention or thyroid changes. Given your busy schedule, keep a simple weekly log of your weight and share it directly with your oncologist during your regular follow-ups for realistic management.

According to clinical studies, Zejula can cause weight changes, but sudden weight gain might also indicate fluid retention or kidney issues. My doctor emphasized that any rapid increase in weight or swelling in the legs must be reported immediately. Please consult your oncologist for a proper assessment.
