Does yaz birth control cause weight gain?

My gynecologist recommended Yaz birth control to help manage my PCOS symptoms. I'm already trying to lose weight, so I'm quite concerned about any potential side effects. Does Yaz birth control cause weight gain?

These hormonal pills often cause water retention which feels like weight gain. Try cutting down on processed salt and drinking lukewarm water with ginger. But if you face severe leg pain, swelling, or breathing issues, please go to a doctor immediately.

Listen, don't stress yourself out too much. Yaz actually has a mild diuretic effect compared to older pills, so it causes less bloating. Just take care of your diet, stay active, and if it makes you feel uncomfortable, we can always talk to your doctor about an alternative.

I panicked so much when I gained 3 kgs in the first month of Yaz! But my doctor told me it's just water weight, and surely enough, by the third pack, my weight went completely back to normal. Don't worry, your body just needs some time to adjust.

My aunts were very scared and told me hormonal pills would ruin my health when I started Yaz. But I trusted my gynecologist, kept a active lifestyle, and didn't face any weight issues at all. Trust your doctor more than family rumors.

Haan, shuru me thoda bloating feel hota hai, but permanent weight gain nahi hota na. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and stay active, everything settles down in a month or two.

The response to Yaz varies significantly based on individual metabolic rates and hormone levels. While some experience slight fluid retention or appetite changes, it is not a universal side effect. Consulting your gynecologist is the most reliable way to monitor this.
