Does xanax cause hair loss?

I've been on Xanax for about six months for panic attacks. Recently, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out than usual. Could Xanax be causing this hair loss?

With PCOS, I have dealt with a lot of hair fall, and I know how stressful it is to worry if a medication is making it worse. While hair loss is not a common side effect of this specific medicine, high stress itself can trigger hair fall. It might be good to discuss this with your dermatologist or doctor to find the real cause.

Managing diabetes has taught me that we often blame new medications for symptoms that are actually caused by stress or nutritional gaps. Hair loss isn't a typical side effect listed for this anti-anxiety medicine. Focus on a balanced diet and regular checkups with your physician to be sure.

Let's be direct: hair loss is a very rare and undocumented side effect for this drug. More often than not, it is the underlying severe anxiety and stress that you are treating which causes telogen effluvium (hair shedding). Talk to your psychiatrist instead of guessing.

I was on this medication for three months last year and noticed some hair shedding around the same time. When I panicked and asked my doctor, she explained that my extreme panic attacks earlier had triggered the hair fall, not the pill itself. Once my mind calmed down, my hair slowly grew back.

I have tried everything from onion juice to amla packs for my hair, and I know how much we want a simple answer. But if you are taking prescription medicines for stress, don't stop them abruptly fearing hair fall. Keep oiling your scalp gently, eat healthy, and consult your doctor about your fears.

Bro, exam stress alone is enough to make me lose half my hair! This medicine is usually prescribed to calm you down, so it shouldn't ideally cause hair loss. But seriously, check with your doc before changing any doses, don't just stop taking it.

Beta, chinta mat karo. Baal girna toh aajkal ke khan-pan aur tanaav se bhi ho jata hai. Yeh dawai toh daktar sahab ne aapko shanti ke liye di hai na? Unse ek baar mil kar apni pareshani batao, woh zarur koi upaay bata denge.

Hey, I totally feel you! Seeing hair in the drain is so frustrating and scary. Honestly, this medication doesn't usually cause hair loss directly, but anxiety sure does. Try practicing some self-care, eat your proteins, and definitely run this by your doctor during your next visit.
