Does worry cause weight loss?

Lately, I've been quite worried about my job situation and I've noticed I'm losing weight without even trying. Can excessive worry actually make you lose weight? I'm feeling a bit weak also.

Yes, extreme stress can definitely drop your weight, but please don't just assume it is only due to worry. I once ignored sudden weight loss thinking it was just work stress, but it turned out to be a gut health issue that got quite complicated. Better to get a full blood panel and checkup done.

I always worry about this too! Whenever I stress, my stomach gets upset and I start losing weight, which makes me worry even more. It is a scary cycle, but honestly, it is best to see a doctor to make sure it is not thyroid or something else causing the drop.

It can definitely happen, as stress completely messes up our hormones and appetite. With my PCOS, I have seen how much mental peace affects my weight. But it is always safer to rule out other medical causes with a doctor just to be sure, na?

Haan na, stress and worry can totally make you lose weight because appetite pure tarah se chali jaati hai. When I am tensed, I don't feel like eating anything at all. But if you are losing weight very fast without trying, then please check with a doc once.

Actually, for me it is the opposite, tension makes me eat extra biryani! But my sister totally stops eating when she is worried and drops kilos instantly. If your favorite foods also aren't tempting you right now, maybe it is time to relax and see a doctor to be safe.

Yes, high stress releases cortisol which can suppress appetite and lead to quick weight loss. Try tracking your daily meals for a week to make sure you are eating enough.

Worry can cause it, but please get your thyroid levels checked first. I lost a lot of weight blaming it on my stressful job, but a simple blood test showed hyperthyroidism. Regular follow-ups with an endocrinologist are very important for this.

Yes, mental tension takes a big toll on our physical health and can make us lose weight. Please take care of yourself, try to eat small meals, and talk to a doctor if you feel it is getting out of hand.
