Does white vinegar help with weight loss?

Someone at my gym mentioned that drinking white vinegar mixed with water can help reduce weight. I've been struggling to lose those extra kgs for a while now. Is there any truth to this, or is it just another myth?

Please ask your doctor before drinking any kind of vinegar for weight loss. My family physician strictly advised against taking strong vinegars on an empty stomach as it can damage your stomach lining. There is very little medical evidence that it helps with fat loss anyway.

Arre don't stress too much about these quick hacks, yaar. Plain white vinegar is mostly just for cooking and cleaning, and honestly, it tastes awful raw. Just stick to eating clean and going for regular walks, that works way better than any vinegar magic.

True, it really doesn't help with weight loss. Better to stick to simple warm water with lemon in the morning if you want something refreshing.

I read up on this extensively and also consulted my gastroenterologist last month. He explained that white synthetic vinegar has high acidity but no active enzymes like organic apple cider vinegar might have. Taking it regularly can cause acidity, acid reflux, and tooth enamel erosion, so avoid it.

Beta, in my 55 years of life, I have seen so many weight loss fads come and go. No vinegar can melt fat if we don't fix our daily food and activity. Stick to healthy home-cooked meals and portion control; that is the only safe way for long-term health.
