Does wearing caps cause hair loss?

I've been wearing caps quite often these days, especially when I'm outdoors for work. Lately, I've noticed more hair than usual falling out when I comb. I'm wondering if there's a link, do caps really cause hair loss?

Caps don't cause hair loss, but managing your health is key. Just like I have to watch my sugar levels and diet, you have to watch your scalp hygiene. Sweating under a cap can lead to fungal issues if your immunity or blood sugar is fluctuating, so keep things clean.

I have been wearing a cap during my daily morning walks for thirty years and still have plenty of hair. Hair fall is mostly about your family genes and how you take care of your health, not about a simple piece of cloth. Don't worry about wearing caps.

I panicked and stopped wearing my gym caps last year because I thought they were causing my hair to fall out. But I later found out it was just normal seasonal shedding that happens to everyone. It is completely normal, so don't worry about your caps.

Keeping your head covered all day can trap heat and dampness, which is not good for the scalp. It is best to let your hair breathe in the fresh air. You can massage your head with warm mustard oil once a week to keep the roots strong.

Caps are fine to wear, but make sure you don't wear them on sweaty hair as that can cause severe dandruff and itching. Wash your hair with shikakai water to keep the roots cool and strong. If you see circular bald spots, please consult a skin doctor.

We get this question a lot on this platform, and scientifically, normal caps do not cause baldness. Just make sure the cap is not extremely tight and that you wash it regularly. Keep it clean and you can wear it without any worries.

Caps se baal nahi jhadte yaar, haan bas thoda paseena aa jata hai toh scalp gandi ho sakti hai na. Toh ghar aakar head wash kar liya karo. Faltu tension mat lo, bilkul safe hai.

I wear a cap during my daily outdoor walks to protect my skin from the sun. My hair is perfectly fine because I make sure the cap is loose and comfortable. Just avoid tight caps and your hair will be totally safe.

I wear a cap to hide my messy hair when I run out for my Sunday chole bhature cravings! Honestly, caps don't cause hair loss unless you are wearing them super tight. Just enjoy your food, wear your caps, and don't stress about these myths.

I wear snapbacks all the time and my hair is totally fine, bro. Just don't put a cap on wet hair because that traps moisture and causes dandruff, which actually weakens the roots. Keep your hair dry and you have nothing to worry about.

Don't waste money on expensive hair loss treatments thinking caps are the problem. Just wash your cap twice a week with your normal laundry so sweat and dirt don't build up. This simple free trick will keep your scalp healthy and prevent irritation.

Caps only cause hair loss if they are tight enough to cause friction damage, known as traction alopecia. If you are experiencing sudden, heavy hair fall, it is safer to get a blood test and consult a doctor rather than assuming it is just from your caps.

Bro, half my hostel wears caps daily to skip combing their hair before early lectures, and nobody is going bald! It is just a total myth. Just buy a loose, comfortable cap and you are absolutely set.

I have been wearing a cap to college daily and lately, I feel my hairline is thinning. Does anyone else feel like their cap is rubbing against their forehead and pulling hair out? I am getting really worried now.

I used to think my hair thinning was because of the tight caps and hairbands I wore, but it was actually my thyroid. If you are seeing real hair fall, please go get a simple thyroid blood test done instead of just stopped wearing caps.
