Does washing your hair everyday cause hair loss?

Washing my hair everyday, especially during summers, helps me feel fresh. But my mom always warns me that daily washing will lead to hair loss. Is there any truth to this, or can I continue my routine without worry?

Dekho, everyday washing is not needed unless you work in heavy dust or sweat excessively. It won't directly make you bald, but it will definitely dry out your hair and make it brittle. Keep it to two or three times a week, that is more than enough.

I exercise daily and often have to wash my hair to clean the sweat. It hasn't caused any major hair loss. Just make sure to use a very gentle, daily-wear shampoo and let your hair air dry naturally rather than using a hot blow dryer.

Bro, don't stress too much! Washing your hair daily doesn't cause hair loss, it just washes away the loose strands that were going to fall anyway. If you feel your hair getting dry, just switch to a milder shampoo or use a conditioner.

Everyday washing can disturb the natural balance of your scalp's energy and oils. Along with reducing your wash frequency, try practicing Balayam (nail rubbing) and Shirshasana under guidance to improve blood flow to your hair roots naturally.

Yes child, washing daily with chemicals is not good for the scalp. It strips away the natural oils that protect your hair roots. Try to wash it only twice a week, and apply a little warm sesame oil to the scalp before washing.

Washing daily doesn't cause clinical hair loss, but it can lead to hair breakage. The dermatologists at the hospital always suggest using a mild sulfate-free cleanser. If you have severe hair fall, it is better to consult a doctor to check for deficiencies.
