Does washing hair more frequently help with dandruff?

Persistent dandruff has been a problem for a while now, and it's quite embarrassing. My friends give conflicting advice; some say wash more often, some say less. Does washing hair daily or more frequently actually help in getting rid of dandruff?

Yes, washing your hair regularly keeps the excess oil away, which stops dandruff from growing. But make sure you are not taking too much stress as stress can also trigger skin issues. Keep your blood pressure and routine health checkups in check too.

I was looking into this recently because my dandruff got really bad. Apparently, washing too frequently with normal shampoo just dries out the scalp, but washing with a proper antifungal shampoo twice a week is what actually works. It's all about using the right product.

Washing frequently can help clear the buildup, but dandruff is also closely linked to your internal health. Try reducing oily food and sweets in your diet, and include more green leafy vegetables. A clean gut leads to a healthy scalp.

No yaar, actually over-washing can backfire because your scalp gets super dry and produces even more oil. Keep it to like three times a week maximum. And use lukewarm water, hot water is a big no for dandruff!

Actually, washing it too much can dry out your scalp and make the flaking worse. Wash it 2-3 times a week with a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo. Don't worry, just give it some time to settle down and don't scratch your scalp.
