Does vomiting stop calorie absorption?

My calorie intake is a big concern for me, and I've read a few things online that suggest if you vomit after eating, your body won't absorb those calories. Is there any truth to the idea that throwing up prevents calorie absorption?

I am new to reading about this, but doesn't a lot of absorption happen immediately when we eat? Is it true that vomiting only removes a tiny fraction of the calories we consume anyway?

Managing my weight with PCOS is hard, but I have learned that vomiting is not the answer and doesn't stop calorie absorption effectively anyway. It just disrupts your gut health and hormones. Please consult a dietitian for healthy ways to manage your nutrition.

I completely understand the anxiety and guilt that can come after eating, it can make you feel so desperate. But please know that throwing up doesn't actually stop calorie absorption and only hurts your body. You are not alone, and it's okay to seek support for these feelings.

No, it doesn't stop calorie absorption effectively and is extremely harmful to your throat and stomach. Please avoid doing this.

Our digestive tract is highly efficient, and absorption begins the moment food enters the mouth. Trying to force it out only disturbs the natural flow of prana and energy in the body. Focus on eating mindfully and accepting your body as it is.

I worry about everything I eat too, but I read that trying to throw up doesn't stop your body from absorbing most of the calories because digestion starts so fast. It also ruins your metabolism in the long run. Please be careful and don't try this.
