Does vistaril cause weight gain?

My doctor prescribed Vistaril for my anxiety and trouble sleeping. I'm always cautious about new medications, especially regarding weight changes. Does Vistaril typically cause weight gain? I'm really trying to avoid that.

It can sometimes increase appetite and cause minor weight gain, but it is usually temporary.

Haan na, Vistaril se thoda drowsiness hota hai toh physical activity kam ho jati hai, and weight badh sakta hai. But direct weight gain chemical reasons se kam hi hota hai isme. Doctor se discuss kar lo ek baar.

My doctor explained that Vistaril (hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine. It can cause increased appetite and drowsiness, which might lead to some weight gain if physical activity drops. Keeping a check on your calorie intake can prevent this.

If you are on Vistaril, just watch out for the increased hunger it might cause. Keep exercising regularly and eat high-fiber foods to stay full. A slight weight change can easily be managed with a good routine.

Vistaril makes me feel so sleepy that I barely move, so of course, I end up gaining a bit of weight, haha! If you can fight the laziness it causes, your weight should remain perfectly fine.

Oh, Vistaril definitely gives you the late-night munchies! I found myself craving parathas and sweets way more than usual. If you can control those sudden cravings, your weight won't be an issue.

These types of medicines can make you feel slow and hungry. To manage this, try to drink warm water and eat light, home-cooked food. But never stop taking your doctor's prescribed dose on your own.
