Does vascepa cause weight gain?

My doctor has put me on Vascepa for my cholesterol, and I'm a bit concerned about side effects. I'm trying to maintain my weight, so I wanted to ask if this medicine causes weight gain?

Hey, I've been on Vascepa for my high triglycerides for three months now and honestly, I haven't gained any weight. If anything, my doctor put me on a clean diet along with it, so I actually ended up losing a bit of fat. Don't worry about it.

Don't stress too much about weight gain with Vascepa. It is basically a highly purified form of omega-3 acid, which doesn't typically cause you to put on weight. Just keep taking it as prescribed, and let me know if you feel any other discomfort, okay?

I totally panicked when I saw my weight fluctuate by 2 kgs in the first week of starting Vascepa, thinking it was the medicine. But my doctor explained it was just normal fluid variation and my body adjusted soon after. Now my weight is completely stable, so don't worry!

I know we always worry about modern medicines causing weight gain, but this one is generally safe. Along with your prescribed Vascepa, you can drink warm methi water in the morning to help manage your cholesterol naturally. But do continue the medicine your doctor gave.

Agree, I also didn't experience any weight gain while taking this. Just make sure to take it exactly with your meals as recommended.

Vascepa is meant to improve your lipid profile, and it rarely causes weight gain. To complement the medication, try incorporating a 40-minute brisk walk daily if your doctor allows. It will help your heart health and keep your weight in check naturally.
