Does undignosed pcos cause weight gain?

My periods have been irregular for a long time, and I've also gained a lot of weight even though my diet hasn't changed much. My friend thinks it might be PCOS, and says that not knowing you have it can make you gain weight. Does undiagnosed PCOS cause weight gain?

Omg yes, literally so many of my friends in college were putting on weight out of nowhere despite barely eating. When they finally went to a doc, it turned out to be undiagnosed PCOS. It is super common and frustrating.

Weight gain is like an uninvited guest that arrives and refuses to leave when you have PCOS. My niece struggled for years thinking she was just lazy, but the hormones were the real culprits. Get it checked before you blame yourself!

I tried all kinds of detox waters and herbal teas to reduce my daughter's weight, but nothing worked until we got her tested. Undiagnosed PCOS messes up your body's metabolism completely. Please get a proper diagnosis first instead of relying only on home remedies.

PCOS makes you crave sugary foods like crazy due to insulin resistance, which naturally leads to weight gain. It is a vicious cycle where your body practically begs for carbs. Getting diagnosed helps you understand these cravings better.

I always consult specialists at Max Hospital for any metabolic concerns. Undiagnosed hormonal imbalances are a major cause of sudden weight gain. Please book an appointment and ask your doctor clearly about getting an ultrasound and hormone panel.

Haan na, undiagnosed PCOS se weight gain toh hota hi hai, and use kam karna bahut difficult ho jata hai, ho na. Hormones completely out of balance chale jate hain. Go to a good gynecologist first.

I was actually reading up on insulin resistance and PCOS yesterday. It's fascinating how a small hormonal imbalance can completely stop your body from burning fat properly, causing rapid weight gain. Getting a clear diagnosis seems like the crucial first step.

Yes, undiagnosed PCOS is one of the leading causes of unexplained weight gain in young women due to metabolic dysfunction. Consulting an endocrinologist or gynecologist for a proper clinical diagnosis and personalized treatment plan is the best way forward.

PCOS is closely linked to insulin resistance, which is why it causes weight gain, very similar to how pre-diabetes works. Be very careful with high-sugar foods and simple carbs, and seek medical guidance to manage your insulin levels.

My young daughter started gaining weight rapidly and felt so low about her body. Once we got her diagnosed with PCOS, we could finally help her with the right diet and medicine. Parents should support their children and get them tested early.

Getting a PCOS diagnosis doesn't have to be extremely expensive. Plan for a basic pelvic ultrasound and hormone blood test at a local reputed lab. Finding the root cause early will save you a lot of money on useless weight loss supplements.

Hey, don't beat yourself up about the sudden weight gain. If it is undiagnosed PCOS, it is your hormones playing games, not your lack of willpower. Get a simple blood test done, consult a doctor, and we will figure this out together.

Yes, it does. I ignored my irregular periods and weight gain for three years, which eventually led to severe insulin resistance and pre-diabetes. Please do not ignore these signs; consult a doctor to get a timely diagnosis.

I deeply regret ignoring my sister's health symptoms when she was rapidly gaining weight, thinking it was just lack of exercise. It turned out to be severe PCOS that had gone undiagnosed for years. Please get a proper medical checkup immediately.

In our family, we usually try traditional diet adjustments for weight issues. However, if it is undiagnosed PCOS, clinical treatment is absolutely necessary. Trust a good doctor to balance your hormones rather than just relying on lifestyle changes.
