Does tylenol or motrin work better for fever?

Apni beti ko high fever hai aaj subah se. Doctor ne kaha tha agar fever high ho toh medicine de dena. Mere paas Tylenol aur Motrin dono hain, par pata nahi fever ke liye konsa better hai?

Both work well but in different ways. On my health tracker app, I noticed my temperature drops faster with Tylenol, but Motrin seems to keep the fever down for a couple of hours longer. Just make sure to log your dosage times so you don't accidentally take them too close together.

In India, basic paracetamol (which is Tylenol) is very affordable and easily available. Motrin (ibuprofen) is also cheap, but it can cause acidity, meaning you might have to spend extra on antacids. For a budget-friendly and safe option, standard paracetamol is usually the best first step.

My grandmother always recommended drinking warm coriander water to help cool the body during a fever. However, for quick relief, both Tylenol and Motrin are very effective. We generally prefer Tylenol as it is gentler on the system, but you should trust your family doctor's advice.

If you have any underlying issues like high blood pressure, you have to be very careful. Medicines like Motrin can sometimes affect your kidneys and elevate blood pressure, so Tylenol is often preferred. Always get your vitals checked and ask your doctor before taking these.

Motrin is an anti-inflammatory, so it might help more if you have joint and muscle aches along with the fever. Tylenol is just a straight fever reducer and is usually easier on your stomach if you aren't eating full meals. Keep up your hydration with plenty of water and coconut water.
