I was just reading about this online because I had a mild fever last night. It seems Tylenol is generally preferred for simple fevers because it's gentler on the stomach, while ibuprofen also reduces inflammation. Both work well, but it depends on what your body tolerates better.

While both medications are widely used to manage fevers, their suitability depends on your individual health history. Tylenol is metabolized by the liver, whereas ibuprofen affects the stomach and kidneys. It is always best to consult your family doctor to know which one is safer for you.

Honestly, both are effective, but they work differently. Tylenol is a pure fever reducer and painkiller, while ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory. For a simple fever, go with Tylenol first as it has fewer gastric side effects.

I always try to be very careful with medicines since my body is already sensitive due to PCOS. Tylenol usually works fine for my fevers without causing the stomach irritation that ibuprofen sometimes does. It might be different for you, so please be cautious and don't take high doses.

Both are great, but as a rule of thumb, Tylenol is excellent for bringing down a high temperature and is safer for sensitive stomachs. Ibuprofen is better if you have swelling or severe muscle aches along with the fever. Just make sure you never take both together without medical advice.

Whenever I get a fever, Tylenol is my go-to because it is really effective and doesn't make me feel acidic like ibuprofen can. But if the body pain is also very high, ibuprofen sometimes feels stronger. Just make sure to eat a little something before taking either of them.
