Does topical minoxidil cause weight gain?

For my hair thinning, I've been using topical minoxidil for a few months now. Lately, I feel like I've put on a little weight, and I'm wondering if there could be a connection. Does topical minoxidil cause weight gain as a side effect?

Nahi, minoxidil lagane se vajan nahi badhta hai. Agar kabhi thodi sujan ya water retention lagti hai toh checkup karwa lo, but generally iska koi aisa side effect nahi hota. Normal diet aur walk rakho sab theek rahega.

In very rare cases, topical minoxidil can cause mild fluid retention which might look like sudden weight gain or swelling in the ankles. It's safer to get it evaluated by your dermatologist to make sure you aren't having any cardiovascular absorption.

I was researching minoxidil side effects before starting and found that systemic absorption is very low. While oral minoxidil can cause water retention, the topical liquid or foam version almost never causes any real weight gain.

Bro, I've been using minoxidil 5% for six months and haven't gained any weight. My hair actually got better and my gym gains are exactly the same. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Unless you are somehow drinking the minoxidil bottle, it's not going to make you gain weight! It's just a lotion for your scalp. Any extra weight is probably from those midnight snacks, not your hair treatment!
