Does the thyroid control body temperature?

Since a few months, I've been feeling really cold all the time, even when others are fine. My doctor said it could be related to my thyroid, which was recently diagnosed. So, I was wondering if the thyroid gland really controls body temperature.

Yes bro, it 100% does. When my thyroid levels went crazy, I was shivering in normal AC while my friends were sweating. Getting on the right pill finally fixed it for me.

Absolutely, the thyroid acts like your body's personal heater. If you are suddenly feeling too cold or too hot all the time, please get a simple T3, T4, TSH blood test done. It is not very expensive and will give you clear answers.

It definitely does regulate your baseline temperature. My fitness wearable showed my resting skin temperature dropping when my thyroid function was slightly sluggish. It is amazing how much control that tiny gland has over our system.

Yes, it manages metabolism which directly impacts body heat. Once my doctor adjusted my medication, I started light morning walks to boost my circulation. It really helps keep you feeling warm and active throughout the day.

Honestly, I used to read up about this for hours because my feet were always freezing cold. I kept worrying it was something terrible, but it was just a minor thyroid fluctuation. Try not to stress too much, just get your levels checked by a doc to be safe.

Oh absolutely, my thyroid makes me feel like a walking furnace at 3 AM while the rest of the house is sleeping peacefully under blankets. It is a chaotic little gland, I swear. Best to get it checked before you lose your sleep over it.
