Does testosterone therapy cause hair loss?

I'm thinking about starting testosterone replacement therapy, but one of my biggest concerns is hair loss. Can testosterone therapy lead to hair fall? I've seen some mixed opinions online.

Look, don't panic too much about this. It only accelerates hair loss if you already have a genetic tendency for baldness. Just keep an eye on your hair fall, and if you feel it's increasing, we can always talk to your doctor about solutions.

Yes, it can speed up hair thinning if you are genetically prone to it. Using mild shampoos and discussing DHT blockers with your doctor helps a lot.

I can only tell you what happened to me. When I was on therapy, my hairline did recede a bit in the first six months, but my doctor adjusted my doses and it stabilized. Everyone's body reacts differently to hormones.

Beta, at my age, health matters way more than a few strands of hair. I took this therapy years ago, and yes, my hair thinned out, but my energy levels got so much better. Choose your health first and don't worry about minor things.

It can cause some thinning for a few people, but it doesn't happen to everyone. Try to stay relaxed and discuss your concerns openly with your doctor.
