Does testosterone replacement therapy cause weight gain?

Feeling really sluggish lately, my doc suggested getting my testosterone checked. Someone mentioned that if I start TRT, I might gain weight. Is it true that testosterone replacement therapy causes weight gain? I'm already struggling to keep my weight in check.

I am actually thinking about starting TRT soon but I am so scared of gaining weight. Has anyone here actually gained a lot of fat after starting? I already struggle with my weight and this is making me super anxious.

My experience with testosterone therapy was a bit tricky as I had severe fluid retention in the beginning, which felt like sudden weight gain. Please be very cautious and monitor your water weight. It is best to let your doctor manage your dosages carefully.

Our bodies respond differently to everything we put inside them. Keep your mind calm and focus on healthy living. If you take this therapy with positive thoughts and a balanced lifestyle, your body will find its natural balance soon.

Initially, you might gain some water weight, but in the long run, it actually helps build muscle and lose fat.

Arre, don't worry! If you gain weight, it's mostly going to be muscle, not just a bigger belly. Just don't use TRT as an excuse to eat double plates of chole bhature, okay?

Listen bro, don't stress too much about this. A lot of guys actually end up looking much leaner because their metabolism gets a good boost. Just keep working out and eating clean, you will be absolutely fine!

I ignored my sudden weight changes and swelling during therapy and it led to other complications later. Please do not ignore any sudden shift in your weight. Get your blood pressure and kidney function checked by your doctor regularly.

I understand your worry about weight. While taking medical treatments, I always drink warm jeera water in the morning to keep bloating down, which helps with water retention. Try to limit salt in your food and check with your doc if the weight gain persists.

Actually, TRT usually improves body composition by reducing fat mass and increasing lean muscle. Any initial weight gain is typically temporary water retention. You should discuss your specific body goals with your doctor to get the right guidance.

I totally get it, worrying about weight gain when trying to get healthy is so frustrating. Some initial fluctuations are very common due to fluid changes. Give your body some time to adapt and keep communicating with your healthcare provider.
