Does testosterone injections cause hair loss?

My doctor suggested testosterone injections for my low energy, but I'm really concerned about hair loss, as it runs in my family. Does testosterone injections cause hair loss, or is that not a common side effect?

Hey bro, don't stress too much. Testosterone injections can speed up hair loss, but only if you are already genetically prone to male pattern baldness. If your family has a history of hair loss, definitely talk to your dermatologist before starting the injections.

These modern hormonal injections can have many side effects on your skin and hair. If you must take them for medical reasons, also focus on keeping your scalp clean and use gentle natural oils like amla or coconut. Always consult your doctor to see if you can manage the hair fall safely.

Testosterone converts into DHT, which can shrink hair follicles and cause thinning. Along with medical advice, make sure you are eating a nutrient-dense diet rich in zinc and biotin to support your hair roots during this therapy. Please discuss this side effect with your endocrinologist.

I agree with the others. Injections increase DHT levels, which causes hair loss if you have the baldness gene. A dermatologist can prescribe blockers to help save your hair.

It can cause hair thinning for some people, but there are medical treatments available to manage it. Please speak to your doctor about this concern before starting your therapy.
