Does temazepam cause weight gain?

My doctor has put me on Temazepam for my sleep issues. I'm trying to manage my weight, so I'm curious. Does Temazepam cause weight gain as a side effect?

I have been taking it on and off and haven't noticed any weight gain at all. It just helps me sleep.

Please don't ignore any changes in your body. I once ignored my sudden weight gain thinking it was just stress, and it turned out to be a metabolic issue. Go get a proper clinical checkup if you feel your weight is rising after starting Temazepam.

If you are worried about weight, don't rush to buy expensive weight loss supplements. Just track your calorie intake and perhaps get a thyroid panel done from a budget lab for 400 rupees to see what's actually happening.

Look, Temazepam is meant for short-term sleep issues. If you use it properly under a doctor's guidance, weight gain shouldn't be an issue. Don't self-medicate or extend the course on your own.

Actually yaar, sometimes these sleeping pills make us feel so groggy the next day that we just sit around and eat comfort food. That is probably what causes the weight gain, not the tablet itself.

In my experience, it has not caused any weight gain. Just focus on getting your sleep and rest well.

I totally get it, worrying about weight gain while trying to treat your insomnia is so stressful. In my case, Temazepam didn't cause any weight changes, but keeping a simple food log helped me stay on track.
