Does stevia cause weight gain?

To help with weight management, I started using Stevia, thinking it's a calorie-free alternative. But then I saw some online posts suggesting that it might actually cause weight gain for some people. Does stevia cause weight gain, ya is it generally fine for dieting?

Bro, stevia has like zero calories, so it technically can't make you gain weight. But honestly, if you eat two extra gulab jamuns just because you drank stevia chai, then weight gain will happen! It is all about the total food we eat daily.

Nahi re, stevia se wazan nahi badhta hai, humare ghar me pitaji sugar ke liye use karte hain. Yeh toh bas ek pauda hota hai jisse mithaas milti hai bina calorie ke. Aap bilkul befikar hoke thoda bahut chai me daal sakte hain.

I was actually planning to buy stevia powder online today to reduce my sugar intake. But now I am a bit confused after reading different things. Does it really help with weight loss in the long run, or should I just stick to regular organic sugar in small quantities?

My teenage daughter started using stevia drops thinking she will lose weight fast, but she actually ended up eating more junk later. Stevia itself won't cause weight gain, but sometimes sweet tastes make you crave actual sugar more. Focus on a balanced home-cooked diet instead of these shortcuts.

I’ve been using stevia in my morning oats and green tea for over six months now. My weight has actually stayed stable, and it helped me cut down on refined sugar. Just make sure you buy pure stevia without added fillers like maltodextrin, which can sometimes affect blood sugar.
