Does starving yourself cause weight gain?

After trying a few diets, I sometimes drastically cut down on food intake. But then I feel like my body holds onto weight, or I gain it back quickly. Can starving yourself actually lead to weight gain in the long run?

I get so scared that if I skip lunch, my body will store everything as fat! Yes, it really messes up your system and can lead to unexpected weight gain later.

I am too tired to even cook, but trust me, starving just leads to late-night fridge raids where you eat 1000 calories in 5 minutes. That's how the weight gain happens!

Please don't do this to your body. Starving yourself will only cause weakness and rebound weight gain. Eat healthy home-cooked meals and stay consistent.

It lowers your BMR drastically. Once you eat a normal portion, your body cannot burn it efficiently, leading to fat storage. Stick to structured meal prep.

I tried a water fast for weight loss last month and ended up gaining two kilos back because my metabolism completely crashed. Regular eating is much safer.

Yes, starvation mode is real. Instead, eat fiber-rich vegetarian food like oats, salads, and dal which keep you full without causing calorie overload.

Actually yes, yaar. Your body goes into panic mode and stores fat. Skipping meals to lose weight is a total myth, honestly.

Starvation can trigger severe metabolic disorders and insulin resistance. Please consult a qualified endocrinologist before attempting any extreme dietary restriction.

Yes, it actually does! When you starve, your body hoards fat to protect itself. Better to eat small healthy meals! 🍏✨
