Does splenda cause weight gain?

To reduce my sugar intake, I've switched to using Splenda in my daily routine. However, I recently heard a rumor that artificial sweeteners might actually lead to weight gain. Does Splenda cause weight gain, or is it a safe option for managing weight?

I can only tell you what happened with me when I switched my daily three cups of tea to Splenda. I actually ended up losing around three kilos over two months because I cut out all that refined white sugar. It worked well for my routine without any bad side effects.

It won't make you gain weight because it has no calories, but sometimes artificial sweeteners can make you crave more sweet desserts later in the day. I always advise people to drink warm fennel seed water or have a piece of cardamom if they get sweet cravings after meals. It's much better for digestion and keeps your weight under control naturally.

Splenda has zero calories, so it will not physically cause weight gain on its own. Keep your mind calm and focus on eating pure, wholesome meals with gratitude. A positive relationship with what we eat is the true secret to keeping our bodies healthy.

These modern chemical powders won't cause weight gain directly because they lack sugar, but they are still artificial. In our times, we used to drink light ginger-tulsi tea or eat a small piece of natural jaggery in winter to satisfy sweet cravings. If you must use these modern sweeteners, do so in very small quantities.

I totally get it, when you are trying so hard to lose weight, even a single pill or sweetener makes you worry about your progress. But don't worry, Splenda is calorie-free, so it won't directly add any fat to your body. Just make sure you aren't eating extra snacks thinking you saved calories on your tea!
