Does sparkling water cause weight gain?

I'm trying to lose some weight and have switched from colas to sparkling water. Someone told me it might actually make you gain weight because of the carbonation. Is it true, does sparkling water cause weight gain?

Dealing with PCOS means even small things can worry us about weight gain. From what I have learned, plain sparkling water has zero calories so it won't directly cause weight gain. Just make sure there are no hidden sweet syrups in the brand you buy.

I know how stressful it is when you are trying to stay fit and every drink makes you worry. But don't worry, plain sparkling water is just water and carbon dioxide, so it won't affect your weight. You can drink it without any anxiety.

Bhai, sadha paani sabse accha hota hai humare sharir ke liye. Is carbonated paani me koi calories nahi hoti toh isse vajan toh nahi badhega, par fir bhi pet me gas ban sakti hai. Gharki shikanji bina cheeni ke peeyo, woh zyada badhiya hai.

I struggle with thyroid-related weight gain, so I track everything I consume. Plain sparkling water won't make you gain weight, but if your weight is fluctuating unexpectedly, please get your thyroid levels tested and talk to your doctor.

Plain sparkling water has no calories, but sometimes the fizz can make your belly look bloated and full of gas. I always prefer drinking warm water with a bit of lemon and ginger for digestion. If your bloating doesn't go away, please consult a doctor.

Hey, relax. Plain sparkling water doesn't have any calories or sugar, so it absolutely cannot cause weight gain. Just be careful not to buy the flavoured ones that have artificial sweeteners or sugar hidden inside. Take it easy and stay hydrated!

Plain sparkling water is zero calorie so it won't make you fat, but honestly, buying it daily is a waste of money when normal water is free. Save that money for regular health checkups or lipid profile tests. Practical thinking is always better.
