Does sparkling water cause colon cancer?

My mother recently had colon issues, so I'm very conscious about what I consume. I often drink sparkling water, and I'm a little worried after reading some things online. Can sparkling water actually cause colon cancer?

Bro, I drink sparkling water almost every day after gym and my digestion is absolutely fine. There is no proof online or from my trainer that plain carbonated water leads to cancer. Don't worry so much, it's just regular water with bubbles.

Honestly, I need my bubbly fix when I am having heavy parathas, and plain sparkling water is my savior! It has zero sugar and does not cause colon cancer at all. It actually helps digest my heavy meals better!

I am not a medical expert so I cannot give a scientific answer. But I have been drinking plain sparkling water for the past five years because normal water gets boring, and my annual health checks have been completely normal so far.

I completely understand why you are asking this, health anxiety can make us question everything we consume. I also used to panic about every little thing, but please rest assured that sparkling water is just carbonated water and doesn't cause colon cancer.

At my age, managing high blood pressure means keeping a strict eye on my lifestyle. Carbonated water doesn't cause cancer, but if you have bloating or gas, it might make you uncomfortable. Focus on a high-fiber diet and regular health checks.

My grandmother always says that simple, plain water boiled with jeera is best for the gut. However, my family doctor assured us that sparkling water is perfectly safe and doesn't cause any serious illnesses like cancer. Drink what suits your stomach.

Sparkling water itself is fine, but if you are experiencing stomach issues or changes in your bowel habits, please don't ignore it like I did. I delayed going to the hospital and regretted it later. Get a proper checkup done by a doctor.

Lol, don't read too much on random WhatsApp groups, they make everything look like it causes cancer. Plain sparkling water is literally just water and CO2. It's totally fine to drink when you want something fizzy.
