Yes, smoking during pregnancy is highly linked to the baby developing asthma and other breathing issues later in life. The nicotine restricts oxygen to the fetus and affects their lung development. It is crucial to stop smoking completely during this time to protect the baby's health.

Yes, it definitely does. My mother smoked a lot when she was pregnant with my younger brother, and he has had severe asthma since he was a kid. Seeing him struggle with inhalers all his life made me realize how dangerous it is. Please don't take this risk.

My cousin struggled with smoking during her pregnancy, and she was so worried about her baby's health. Sadly, her little one does have breathing sensitivity now, and the doctor said passive or active smoke exposure during pregnancy was a major factor. It is really important to stay completely away from smoke for the baby's sake.

I know how incredibly stressful and guilt-inducing it can be to worry about your baby's health when you are struggling with a habit like smoking. Yes, smoking during pregnancy does increase the risk of childhood asthma because of how it affects lung growth. Please don't be too hard on yourself, but do reach out to a doctor for help to stop safely.

I had severe respiratory complications with my first child because of smoke exposure, and it was a terrible experience. Smoking during pregnancy damages the baby's developing lungs and increases the risk of chronic asthma significantly. Please consult your obstetrician immediately for safe ways to quit and protect your child.
