Does sleep help u lose weight?

I've been trying hard to lose some weight, focusing on diet and exercise. Recently, a friend told me that getting good sleep is also very important for weight loss. Is it true that sleep helps you lose weight?

Honestly, if you are asleep, you cannot eat! Jokes apart, when I stay up late, I always end up ordering midnight snacks. Sleeping early definitely saves me from those extra calories.

Yes, child, sleep keeps the body healthy. When we sleep well, our body digests food properly and we don't feel tired and weak during the day. Don't wake up late.

My doctor told me that sleep regulates cortisol and leptin hormones, which control appetite and fat storage. Without 7 hours of sleep, your weight loss efforts at the gym will be much slower.

Sleep is indeed a major factor in metabolic health, but if you are experiencing sudden weight changes despite good sleep, it is safer to consult a doctor to check for hormonal issues.

Don't stress yourself by only counting calories and working out like crazy. Sleep is when your muscles recover and your metabolism balances out. Give your body some rest, okay?
