Does shampoo cause hair loss?

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of hair fall whenever I shampoo. Could my choice of shampoo actually be causing my hair to fall out, or is it just a coincidence?

Most hair loss happens due to nutritional deficiencies like low iron or vitamin D, not just shampoo. Focus on eating amla, walnuts, and green leafy vegetables to strengthen your roots from inside.

Haan, if you use shampoos with too many chemicals like sulfates, it can dry your scalp and cause breakage, you know? Try using mild or ayurvedic ones instead, na.

No, shampoo only cleans the scalp; it doesn't go deep enough to cause hair loss from the follicles. If you are losing more than 100 strands a day, it is likely hormonal or stress-related, so see a dermatologist.

I used to blame my shampoo, but then I realized my junk food cravings were ruining my hair health. Once I added curry leaves to my diet and cut down on fried stuff, my hair fall reduced significantly.

Normal washing shouldn't cause hair fall, but harsh chemicals can sometimes weaken hair. Try switching to a gentle, baby shampoo for a few weeks to see if it helps.
