Does semaglutide cause hair loss?

I'm on semaglutide for my weight and diabetes management. While it's helping with those, I've noticed a significant amount of hair falling out. Is hair loss a known side effect of semaglutide?

You can try gentle amla hair oil massages to soothe your scalp, but remember that internal changes need proper care. If you are losing clumps of hair daily, please don't just rely on home remedies. Go and see your dermatologist or the doctor who prescribed the weight loss injection.

I went through this exact same phase three months into my dose! My hair started thinning crazy, but my doctor explained it was due to rapid weight loss, not the drug itself. I started taking protein supplements as advised, and thankfully the shedding has completely stopped now.

Look, simple logic: when you eat much less, your body stops sending nutrition to your hair first. It is very common with fast weight loss. Don't panic, but go talk to your doctor and ask if you need to add multi-vitamins to your daily routine.

Please be very careful with this. I had severe nutritional deficiencies and heavy hair fall during my therapy because I ignored the initial shedding. Do not wait for it to get worse; schedule an appointment with your specialist to check your iron and thyroid levels immediately.

Haan, hair fall toh ho sakta hai because of sudden diet changes. Humari body thodi stress mein aa jati hai na jab weight jaldi ghirta hai. Once consult your doc for proper hair vitamins, alright?
