Does rybelsus cause hair loss?

My doctor prescribed Rybelsus for my blood sugar and also for weight management. I'm excited about the potential benefits, but my cousin warned me about hair loss with some diabetes meds. Can Rybelsus cause hair to fall out?

I have been managing my health issues for a long time, and sometimes rapid weight loss from medications can cause temporary hair thinning. Make sure you are doing regular checkups and blood tests. If the hair loss is severe, discuss it with your doctor during your next visit.

Hair loss isn't a direct, common side effect of Rybelsus itself, but rapid weight loss often triggers a temporary condition called telogen effluvium. It usually stops once your body stabilizes. If you are worried, get your thyroid and iron levels checked immediately.

I know exactly how stressful it is to see hair thinning when you start a new medication, it makes you want to stop the treatment immediately. Sometimes, our body reacts to the weight change rather than the pill itself. Try to stay calm and definitely speak to your prescribing doctor about this side effect.

Any strong modern medicine can affect the body's natural balance. Along with your prescribed medication, practice gentle breathing exercises to reduce stress, which is a major factor in hair fall. Eating a balanced diet and keeping a positive mind will help your body adapt.

I've tried everything from curry leaves to onion juice for my hair fall when my medications changed. While these home tips can support scalp health, they won't stop hair loss if it's a medical reaction. Please talk to your doctor and ask if you need a multivitamin supplement.
