Does rogaine cause weight gain?

I started using Rogaine about six months ago for my hair fall issue, and I've also noticed a little weight creep up on me. I'm usually very stable with my weight. Could Rogaine be a reason for this weight gain, or is it completely unrelated?

I log my weight and water intake daily on my fitness tracker, and I didn't see any fluctuation when I started Rogaine. Since it's applied topically, very little enters your system, so it shouldn't cause weight gain. If you see sudden water retention, maybe check your sodium intake.

Haan bhai, thoda bohot fluid retention ho sakta hai starting mein, par weight gain jaisa kuch bada nahi hota. Hair growth ke liye best hai, toh load mat lo aur use karo, na!

Beta, these modern hair sprays generally do not cause any body weight changes as they are only applied on the scalp. To be safe, have green tea and do some light walking. Keep your lifestyle clean and healthy.

It doesn't affect your systemic metabolism, so weight gain won't happen. If you are concerned about fitness, maintaining a 45-minute daily brisk walk and eating clean will keep you in great shape regardless of what you apply to your hair.

As a nurse, I can tell you that topical minoxidil rarely enters the bloodstream enough to cause weight gain. In very rare cases, it can cause mild fluid retention. If you notice swelling in your ankles or rapid weight changes, consult your doctor.

It is a topical solution, so it won't affect your weight at all. Don't waste money on expensive weight management programs thinking it's because of Rogaine. Just cut down on sugar and walk daily.

Unless you are somehow drinking the lotion, it definitely won't make you gain weight! It's meant for your head, not your tummy. Keep using it and relax.

At 50, my weight increases just by looking at a gulab jamun, so I can't blame poor Rogaine for it! Seriously though, it is a local spray, so it won't affect your body weight. Just don't blame the medicine for your lack of gym time!

No, it does not cause weight gain. Just follow the package instructions and avoid over-applying.

I started it last week and feel like my face looks a bit puffy. Has anyone else felt this way in the beginning? I hope it doesn't lead to actual weight gain because that would make me so anxious.

I've been using minoxidil for over a year now. No weight gain at all, bro. My weight has stayed exactly the same. It's a solid product, just go for it.

I totally panicked when I saw minor swelling on my face in the first week and thought I was gaining weight! But it was just mild water retention which went away in 10 days. Now my weight is completely normal, so don't worry.
