Does red light therapy really work for weight loss?

I've seen a lot of advertisements claiming red light therapy can help with weight loss without much effort or major lifestyle changes. It sounds very appealing but also a bit hard to believe, to be honest. Does red light therapy really work for weight loss, or is it just another passing fad?

Based on my research, red light therapy only has a temporary, minor effect on fat cell permeability, but it does not lead to actual, long-term fat reduction. My doctor also confirmed that there are no medical shortcuts; only a consistent calorie deficit and exercise work for sustainable weight loss.

Honestly, I saw these viral red light belts on my feed and almost ordered one. But let's be real, if we could lose weight just by sitting under a red lamp, gym memberships would be zero! I'll stick to my evening football games instead.

I have tried everything from methi water to apple cider vinegar, and even looked up red light devices out of desperation. Trust me, nothing works as practically as portion control and walking 6,000 steps daily. Don't waste your money on these expensive light gadgets.

I have answered several threads on this topic before. The consensus is always the same: red light therapy might help with skin appearance or muscle recovery after a workout, but it does not cause weight loss. Save your hard-earned money and focus on balanced lifestyle changes.

I know how incredibly frustrating and exhausting it feels when you try everything and the scale just won't budge. It makes you want to believe in any new technology like red light. Your feelings are completely valid, but please be gentle with yourself; sustainable health takes time and simple habits.
