Does raw sugar shampoo cause hair loss?

I recently switched to a new natural shampoo that has raw sugar listed as an ingredient, thinking it would be good for my hair. However, I've noticed a bit more hair fall lately. Could this raw sugar shampoo be causing my hair loss, or is it just a coincidence?

I used to blame every shampoo under the sun, including Raw Sugar, for my hair fall. But when I finally got a blood test done, my thyroid levels were completely off. If your hair loss is sudden or heavy, please check your health markers with a doctor instead of just changing shampoos.

Don't get confused by the name 'Raw Sugar'—it is just a brand name for hair products and won't affect your body's sugar levels or cause hair loss because of sugar. Still, some chemicals in any commercial shampoo can irritate sensitive scalps. If you have skin issues, check the ingredients list carefully.

Arey, at my age, hair wants to leave my head regardless of what shampoo I use! Raw Sugar shampoo works fine for my daughter, but I think stress and genetics do 90% of the damage anyway. Don't stress too much about the brand name.

I tried this shampoo because of the sulfate-free hype, but honestly, it made my scalp a bit itchy, which can lead to hair shedding. It is highly subjective—what works for one person might cause buildup for another. If you notice persistent hair fall, just switch to a basic dermatologist-recommended mild cleanser.

Generally, Raw Sugar products are formulated to be gentle, so they shouldn't cause hair loss. However, if you are experiencing allergic contact dermatitis from any of its natural extracts, that can cause temporary shedding. Stop using it for a couple of weeks to see if the shedding reduces.
