Does prostate cancer have symptoms?

My friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer during a routine check-up, and he said he had no symptoms at all. Does prostate cancer usually present with noticeable symptoms, or can it be completely silent for a long time?

In its early stages, prostate cancer often has absolutely no symptoms at all. For your own safety, if you are over 50 or have a family history, you should get a PSA blood test and a clinical screening rather than waiting for symptoms to appear.

Early prostate cancer rarely shows signs, but later symptoms can include weak urine flow or pain. While a calm mind and healthy body are wonderful, please ensure your male family members go for timely medical checkups for this.

At my age, waking up twice in the night to pee feels normal, but that frequent urination can actually be a symptom of prostate issues! It is always better to get these plumbing issues checked by a doctor before they turn serious.

My father has been waking up multiple times to pee lately and I am getting so anxious reading about prostate cancer. Has anyone else's family member had this symptom and it turned out to be just a minor infection or non-cancerous swelling?

According to urology specialists, symptoms like hematuria, weak urine flow, or pelvic pain usually indicate advanced stages, as early-stage prostate cancer is typically asymptomatic. My father's doctor emphasized that regular screening is the only way to catch it early.

I completely understand how worrying it is to read about cancer symptoms online. Early on, there are usually no symptoms, which makes us feel even more anxious, but a simple visit to a urologist can give you complete peace of mind.

Common symptoms include difficulty starting urination, a weak stream, or blood in the urine. A practical step is to get a routine annual health checkup that includes a simple PSA test, which is very affordable and can catch things early.

Yes, symptoms like frequent urination, especially at night, can occur. My elder uncle faced this and we immediately took him to a senior urologist as per our family doctor's advice; early detection really helped him.
