Does pregnancy sickness come and go?

Some days I feel completely fine and energetic, but other days the pregnancy sickness is overwhelming. Is it normal for pregnancy sickness to come and go, rather than being consistent?

Yes, it is very common for sickness to fluctuate. I found that a light 15-minute walk in the fresh air in the morning helped settle my stomach on the days I felt slightly off. Always check with your doctor before starting any light exercise.

I've been reading a lot about this because my friend is pregnant and some days she's perfectly fine, and other days she can't even get out of bed. It seems totally normal for hormones to spike and dip, causing the sickness to come and go.

I totally get it, it can be so confusing when you feel super sick one day and absolutely fine the next. Your body is just trying to adapt to the changing hormones. Don't stress, just enjoy the good days when you have them!

I used to feel so guilty on the days I felt fine, worrying that my pregnancy wasn't progressing. Please know that it is emotionally draining but completely normal for symptoms to vanish for a few days and then return. You are doing great.

During my pregnancy, my morning sickness had no fixed pattern. Some weeks were incredibly tough and then suddenly I would have three or four days with zero nausea. I just took it day by day and trusted my body.
