Does polycystic ovaries cause hair loss?

Recently diagnosed with PCOS, and I'm also experiencing bahut hair loss, which is very distressing. Are polycystic ovaries a common cause of hair loss in women?

Yes, I am facing severe hair thinning right now because of PCOS and it's making me so anxious. Does anyone else feel like their scalp is getting visible, or is it just me? I am really worried and don't know how to stop this shedding.

It can definitely cause hair fall due to hormonal imbalances. Along with your doctor's advice, practicing stress-reducing yoga like Balasana and regular breathing exercises helped me balance my mind and body. Patience is key when dealing with PCOS.

Yes, it does, and honestly, it is so heartbreaking to see chunks of hair in the shower every single day. It completely wrecked my self-esteem for a long time. Please know you are not alone in this struggle, and it does get better once you work with a doctor to balance your hormones.

My daughter has polycystic ovaries and she faced a lot of hair loss because of the high male hormones. Just like managing my high blood pressure, she had to make major lifestyle changes and get regular blood tests done. Proper clinical follow-up is the best way to tackle this.

Yes, hormone issues do cause hair thinning. You can try a mild rosemary water spray on your scalp, but remember that external remedies won't fix internal hormonal issues. You must consult a doctor or gynecologist to treat the root cause of PCOS.

Oh absolutely, between my endless PCOS hair fall and my terrible sleep cycle, I am pretty sure my pillow has more hair than my head right now! It is a real struggle. Seriously though, balancing sleep and hormones is the only way out.
